Homemade Gluten Free Pasta

For our wedding register one thing that we thought would be essential for delicious meals was a pasta maker.  While our Trader Joe's corn pasta has been awesome! we wanted to give our own pasta a shot. When better to do it than when you should be completing grad school homework on a lazy Sunday in February...

So to the Gluten Free Kitchen essential cookbook 1000 Gluten Free Recipes by Carol Fenster where I had previously seen a doable recipe. The recipe was fairly simple and required all things we had in the house. (One tip for new gluten freers - if you see a sale, stock up! I bought almost all of my gluten free flour varieties when the store around the corner from me changed hands and everything was 50% off - I spent about $50 just on flour that day, but now I have ever kind essential to my kitchen.  Also, places like Christmas Tree Shop has a ton of Red Mills products for much better prices)

Things to note:  Make sure you let the dough rest.  Our first batch didn't come out so hot because the non gluten didn't have time to set (as they say for regular gluten dough's) and it was difficult to work with at the beginning.

Viola, gluten free pasta! Add your favorite sauce and enjoy!
