A long, long, time ago, I lived a life full of gluten.  It was painful, and I had no idea why.  As a person who has never really been a huge fan of pasta or pizza (albeit this can be contributed to the 5 painful months I worked at a pizza place during college), I have always love desserts, and sweets, and desserts, and anything sweet.   When I was first told I had Celiac and needed to live my life gluten free, it didn't really hit me all that hard.  Sure, I had to be more careful about what I consumed, and I couldn't just order in as easily or readily as before, but it wasn't until Thanksgiving that I really realized what I was in for. When my favorite Thanksgiving dessert, Apple pie, came out of the oven, it took my whole body and soul not to just give up right there.

Living life gluten free really is an adventure, but it doesn't have to be a difficult or tasteless one.
